Our partner is currently looking for a dynamic and self-motivated DevOps Engineer for its head office in the UK. The candidate should have knowledge of Linux system administration and Ruby coding and PowerShell scripting among others.
What You'll Be Doing:
• Keeping tab on the latest tools and technologies and introduce them in company to improve company’s technical infrastructure
• Offering direct server support during deployment and development
• Working together with developers to meet requirements
• Reviewing architecture to eliminate security vulnerabilities and compliance requirements
• Automating deployment in Azure environment
• Deploying automation code updated into Azure production environment.
• Designing, implementing and testing agreed-upon infrastructures
• Actively participating in Sprint Planning
• Taking care of CHEF and PowerShell automation code base
• Configuring and maintaining monitoring software
• Proactively monitoring events to ensure best practice solutions
• Performing security monitoring
• Ensuring environments are patched regularly
• Must maintain regular teamwork and interaction
• Responsible for recruiting, interviewing and hiring
What You'll Bring to the Role:
• Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert in Server Infrastructure (Desirable)
• Prior working experience in Linux system administration experience
• Experience of managing firewalls/routers
• Experience with automation/configuration management tools such as Chef
• Practical experience in Ruby coding and PowerShell scripting
• Familiarity with T SQL
• Strong grasp of computer security
• Deep understanding of windows server operating systems, networking, web and API deployments
• Experience with CI/CD Jenkins, TFS and TeamCity
