Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)
We are seeking an experienced Senior SRE to contribute as a hands-on individual contributor on critical technical projects and support the development of a top-tier SRE function. This role includes:
Core Responsibilities
- Project Delivery: Actively contribute to impactful technical initiatives, guided by team Principals.
- Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Design and maintain effective monitoring systems, implement metric-driven alerting, logging, and tracing, and resolve issues in complex environments.
- SLI/SLO Management: Define, measure, and refine SLIs and SLOs while fostering collaborative relationships with engineering teams.
- On-Call Duties: Participate in periodic 24×7 paid on-call rotations.
- Infrastructure Automation: Build and manage infrastructure, systems, and applications using tools like Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, Helm, and Go.
- Team Collaboration & Training: Engage in pair programming, share knowledge, and conduct training sessions.
- Documentation: Write clear tickets and documentation, ensuring they remain current and accessible.

Required Skills and Experience

Technical Expertise:
- Proven experience in SRE, DevOps, or Linux System Administration.
- Strong automation background using tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
- Proficiency in containerization and orchestration technologies, especially Kubernetes.
- Experience with CI/CD, APIs, and Agile methodologies.
- Knowledge of security frameworks such as CIS, NIST, and OWASP.
- Network management and database expertise, particularly PostgreSQL.

Tool Proficiency:
- Hands-on experience with public cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Familiarity with hybrid physical and cloud-based infrastructure.
- Proficiency in programming languages like Ruby, Java, Go, or Bash/Shell scripting.
- Technical writing and documentation skills.

- Solid understanding of Agile practices (Scrum, Kanban).
- Experience with issue tracking tools like Jira and managing the story lifecycle.
