Position Overview:
As the Director of Artificial Intelligence, you will play a pivotal role in driving the development and integration of advanced AI and ML technologies into clinical diagnostics. This influential position requires a blend of technical expertise and a deep understanding of clinical applications, particularly in oncology and relevant medical domains.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Guide the Clinical AI development team by crafting and executing a visionary roadmap for AI-driven innovations in diagnostics.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work alongside R&D, medical affairs, and software development teams to design and implement AI models that improve diagnostic and prognostic capabilities.
- Large-Language Models Optimization: Spearhead the creation of biological models to derive insights into disease mechanisms and enhance genomic variant curation and reporting.
- Data Integrity: Ensure ethics and integrity in data management, leveraging AI to extract valuable information from electronic health records and literature.
- Multi-Omics Data Analysis: Oversee projects utilizing ML algorithms to analyze tumor genetic data, aiming to discover crucial mutations that support personalized treatment decisions.
- Digital Pathology Innovations: Lead the development of AI algorithms focused on cancer cell detection and tumor analysis to enhance diagnostic accuracy.
Qualifications:
- A Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Machine Learning, or a related field with significant AI focus.
- Over 7 years of experience in AI/ML research and development, especially within oncology or healthcare, demonstrating successful project leadership.
- Profound knowledge of oncology clinical practices, genomics, and therapeutic approaches.
- Proficient in AI/ML languages and frameworks like Python, R, TensorFlow, and PyTorch.
- Strong leadership, collaboration, and communication skills are essential for thriving in a multidisciplinary environment.
Location Preference: Candidates near our key laboratory sites in Los Angeles, Phoenix, Dallas, Atlanta, or Boston will be prioritized. Hybrid on-site work is preferred.
